Default Anyone fish Hatteras in late April?

I got an invite to Hatteras for mid-to-late April. What is going on down there around that time? Seems a little early for mahi. I know the BFT should be out of the area.

I fished the first weekend in May down there once and caught small yellowfins & wahoo. Also saw allot of sharks on top, even boated a small mako latch on to a yellowfin.

Might be some blackfin tuna & king mackerel around.

I fished down there in mid-April. We went looking for bluefin, and there were still some around. Not thick like now, but still some around, I recall we had 1 each of 2 days and both were really big. We caught a few yellowfin and when it got slow we dropped on some blueline tiles on the way in.
