Default Any Recommendations for West Palm

My family is heading down to West palm beach and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for charter captains down there....we are hoping to go offshore but I cant tell if that is really an option or if the "bay side" and backwater fishing is more along the lines of what they do.

Any thoughts/recommendations would be great.

Thanks for the help.

JM

Take a look at this site. They have some great charter captains out of this marina and the restaurant is great too. It's a short ride from West Palm. I used to live in Jupiter and visited this marina on a regular basis!!! Even if you don't go out fishing take the family here for lunch or dinner and hang out, it's awesome. You can buy some fish food and feed the fish off the docks. You will see 20lb jacks swimming around eating just about anything you throw to them, they surround the fish cleaning station when the charters come in. You can also see all sorts of other small fish feeding along the walls and around the docks, it's like an aquarium. Watch the videos on their site. The place is great to bring the family.

If you have the time you can visit Loggerhead Marinelife Center http://www.marinelife.org/ . It's a sea turtle rescue. Pretty cool place to take the family too.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I lived in the area for about 10 years.

GG

I was in Jupiter last week and fished every day on the Juno Pier. I did pretty good with the spanish mackerel and caught a few pompano.

I was down there a month ago, there are two head boats right in wpb I went on both and the crew was great. Def good for a fam and they provide the license for you. You also could fish the inlet if you have poles, there is all kinds of stuff there using live shrimp.when you get there google fishing and you will find all kinds of boats, offshore trips that are shared are also available. If you want to eat awesome italian food, try tramontis on atlantic ave in delray its awesome. Good luck
