President Obama signed the “Billfish Conservation Act”

On October 5, 2012 President Obama signed the “Billfish Conservation Act”. The act bans the importation of all billfish into the United States. The billfish defined in the act are the following fish: Sailfish, Swordfish, Blue/Black/Striped/White Marlins and Shortbill/Mediterranean/Longbill/ Roundscale Spearfish.
