Default Rig advice

Heading out on Fri. On the ocean explorer.
It looks like a mixed bag of black fish, ling, and cod.
So the question is what style of rig should i tie? Hook size? Ounces of weight?
Also with the ling I know people talk of the gulp, what true, size or color?
Thanks.

Rig up for blackfish. You can always put clam or Gulp on that rig. Last time out pool winning 20lb cod on a teaser with clam 3 foot up. If the dogs are heavy you can take that off. Never know how much weight until you get there. Have 8-12 oz sinkers.

Got it. I made up few "Lief" rigs last trip but I was looking for other suggestions or ideas. Not that those didnt work, just checking out other options.
Thanks.
