Question Lake Wallenpaupack questions

Hi all, I will be at Lake Wallenpaupack and looking for some fresh water advice i am a avid salt water guy but have not done much freshwater fishing. I will be fishing from shore 1 day and via boat on the 2nd day. can any one recommend what bait and or lures I should try ect?

Thanks in advance for the help

Wow, the last time I was there was when the Mets and the A's were in the World Series in 1973. I remember its a beautiful lake. Plus great horse back riding. I hope you have a terrific time.

Use worms and minnows. Rattle traps and stick baits.

I wish you the best of luck

Thumbs up Re: Lake Wallenpaupack questions

Lots of stripers by the dam in the evening. Many walleye as well.
A couple of nice adult beverage places near the dam also. I like the Boathouse.

Was there about 8 years ago...Great Smallmouth fishery with alot of nice steep drop offs. Back then white grubs on a 1/4 ounce jig head and soft jerk baits worked well. I would bet the all mighty Senko would work if they are up shallow as well.

Good Luck....it's a really nice Lake.

Lots of small mouth bass also taking Sankos. Also try Blue Fox Spinners in silver. Crank baits like the silver shad rattle trap will work also. Throw at the rocks and docks. Good luck. Much boat traffic during prime time. Good luck

Lightbulb Re: Lake Wallenpaupack questions

Was only there twice and twice I fished off the bank. One time I fished in a cove and it was great, another time I fished looking directly out onto the main lake and it stunk. (for what it's worth)
