![]() After the rain moved out it turned into too nice a day not to wet a line. I decided to see what was going on at Manasquan Reservoir. The water was crystal clear and about 3 feet low, making most of the shoreline accessible. I walked the edges of the coves pitching plastics to the tree stumps. I was there for about 2 hours and caught two largemouths, one a decent fish at about 2 pounds, both on a senko. There was an even larger one swimming with the 2 pounder. Sometimes I think big bass hire smaller ones to swim around with them and be their food tasters.

![]() I've been noticing that too! when I can see the bass the big ones are always below the smaller ones and my worm has to run the gauntlet to reach them!

![]() 3 weeks ago I hooked a 4lber there on a sluggo. 10 feet from the boat an even bigger fish was trying to steal the sluggo form the 4lber.
Tried to get my brother to cast near my hooked fish but he was tossing a crankbait and it was ignored. |
