![]() been using lure spray lately on my plastics figuring I'd cover my scent and it appears to work the following way: freshly sprayed plastics are taken sooner after hitting the water, require less action to entice a strike, and get spit less. what are everyone's experiences?

![]() Most soft plastic baits you can buy these days are impregnated with scent and sprays may be a thing of the past; however, it just depends on the soft plastic bait you buy.
For example, Gulp = no spray; Generic brand = spray potential I have always wondered how long the spray stays on the bait. Do you spray every couple of casts or just once? |

![]() I've had mixed results depending on product. squirt concentrate tends to stay on longer, eg. noticeable oil release when plastic hits water. spray doesn't seem as good. I am aware of the soft bait impregnation which will result in the fish keeping the bait longer once it's struck but the reason I started experimenting was because I wanted to cover the bug spray I'm applying to fish the swampy areas and I've noticed more bass hitting a worm that's leaving a scent trail behind. the concentrated formulas waste a lot during application so I'm thinking of making a scentbox-

![]() I am wondering if "soaking" a soft plastic bait overnight or for extended periods of time may help? My experiment is with GULP ALIVE jerk shads. I soaked some Super Flukes (~ 6) in the "solution" and just checked them tonight and they had swelled to some extent. They have been in there for ~ 2 months. Need to fish them soon and find out, but the way I fish them in lily pads it may not make a difference???? Thought I would give it a try and it is still an experiment in progress.
My experience is that when Gulp dries out it becomes brick hard and you have to throw away hook and bait unless you unhook the gulp before it dries out. |

![]() I have been using MEGA STRIKE when Bass Fishing on all of my plastics except for the Berkley baits for the last two years and I def would recommend it. It seems that when fish are feeding they really devour my baits when i use it vs. not. It's about seven or eight bucks a tube but it usually lasts me a season and i use alot of it on my baits and considering the prices of some of the plastics on the market it's not too bad. It sticks to the baits very well just dont leave it in the sun cause it will loss its consistancy and turn to a liquid. Two last bits of info...One when they aint biting it dont matter what you use and Two what ever you do dont let it get on your clothes cause it will stain and ruin them and stink to Holy Hell Just ask my wife...... She's still pissed cause it got into a load of laundry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the whole load was stinking like bait HAHAHAHAHA Oh well @#*% Happens........
