Default New personal best Smallmouth

I had about an hour to fish this afternoon, and after 45 minutes of nothing, I moved upstream about 600 feet. With thunder starting to rumble, I felt dejected, anticipating a skunk. Well, on my first cast, my xrap in rainbow trout pattern gets HAMMERED as soon as it hits the water. After the best freshwater fight I have ever had, knees shaking and sweating bullets fearing my 6 lb test mono would not hold up, I landed my personal best smallie, three lbs six oz 18 inches. This is why I love fishing. Photos here

That's awesome. Are you going to get it mounted?

No, fish was released. The day I catch a five plus pounder will be the day I get a mount made. Although it will be a replica- all fish catch and release, unless it is a tasty walleye
