Default 20 inch pickerel

Ended up fishing in the woods of Malaga lake in south jersey because of all the fathers day crowds and ended with this monster along with about 4 other smaller pickerel

The pic is kinda crappy because he was 1 angry s.o.b. and didn't want to hold him any longer than I had to. Managed to get the tape next to him though and he was a hair over 20 inches, personal beat by a few inches. Very chunky too, put up 1 heck of a fight.

Regardless of the species...gotta try to take care of the fish better than that. Nice fish though!

I tried but he just didn't want to be held. I did manage to get the hook out clean and he was released and swam away strongly. Just got a little muddy from all the flopping around he insisted on doing.
