Default Pequest River - Lots of trout

The water was high and off colored but it didn't stop the trout from feeding this afternoon. One after the other on butterworms.
I'm now into my 600 butterworm re-order from Elliotsbutterworms.com That's alot of butterworms. But when you get them at wholesale prices it doesn't hurt. I can't believe how many trout I've caught on them this year. I've caught big red belly sunnies, chubs, suckers, carp and lots of smallmouth bass on them. Ice fishing they do real well. Yellow perch and crappies love them.
Everyone I talk to say they do well with them.
Butterworms are brought in from Chili. They were originally and still are sold to reptile owners as a high protein treat for all kinds of reptiles. Unlike mealworms they don't fly off the hook when you cast. They don't go bad or dry out in the refrigerator like mealworms. I've stored them for six months without a problem. You can catch two or three trout on one butterworm because they stay on the hook real good. A proven fish bait.

I would bet that Cuz has stock in Elliot's. Maybe we can get them to sign up as a sponsor, since they already get advertising.

Never put mealworms in the frig they die. Leave them out and they last for weeks in a cool dry place.

I don't know Elliot personally. I have talked with him on the phone for my orders. He told me he is a minister of a church with 800 plus members in the state of Washington. I respect this and the fact he works two jobs to survive. He seems like a real nice man who takes his butterworm business seriously. I pay the same as everyone else. But he sends me huge butterworms compared to what the bait stores sell here in N.J. In fact, I once asked him to supply the same big butterworms to members of this web-site that order from him. And he has done so. Believe me, bait presentation is everything. The bigger the better.

I'm not one way and will do alot for anyone who can go out of their way to make my life happier. I taught my sons to be the same way. Be a giver sometimes and not a taker all the time.
Other people have suggested different tips to members on this web-site without the wise remarks.
