anyone catching crappies at splitrock?

usually find crappies in or near spawn mode at splitrock about this time, but a few hours with my kid two weekends ago yielded no sign of them.

some gills and a nice pickerel were all that i can manage in a couple of hours with my 4 yr old daughter.

buddy of mine was knee deep in crappies about 3 weeks ago...haven't been there since but i have to say that its the most i have ever seen in the past 5 years.
