Union Cty Honey Hole - 4/21
It's been quite a while since I've posted a report as I havent had much time to wet a line. I did manage to get out for a few hours this past Saturday, 4/21. Couldnt have really asked for a better day. In about two hours or so I caught countless sunfish of all sizes, some black crappies, and 5 largemouth from 14-17 inches on pumpkinseed senkos. These bass were bedding but were VERY aggressive--coming waaaay off their beds to strike the senkos I was tossing. As I was fighting the larger one of the bunch, my senko managed to work its way up my line. Seconds later a fat-ass hawg came out and was chasing my hooked fish attempting to pluck the senko from my line. In gin clear water, it was really cool to see. Wouldve been much cooler to have hooked the slob, though. She was at least 5 lbs and dwarfed the fish I was fighting. Anyhow, here's a few shots I took. Hopefully I'll be posting more frequently the next few weeks...
