Question Oradell Dam

Anyone ever fish below it? Any idea what type of fish would be down there? You don't hear too much on the Hackensack River up that far.

While I have not lived up in that area for a long time (longer then you are old) as I remember it, there was not much there. The water company has it posted I'm pretty sure and that was post 9/11. With the low water now I'm betting it's almost dry.
I had a permit to fish the the reservoir and that was more fun then the river. Shore fishing only during day light hours.
Big Bass, Carp and who knows in there.
Maybe someone else that lives in Bergen Co. can chime in.

I live in New Milford near Haworth and was checking out the reservoir, its not that low surprisingly. As for below the dam on the Hackensack there's carp for sure. I've never fished it so I dont know how lucky you would be. But the banks north of New Bridge Road are either someones backyard or dense vegetation.

I live 5 minutes from Oradel reservoir and fish the NEW gate after work almost every evening.K-Mart Canadian nite crawlers are favored to catch Hybrid stripers, Carp, yellow Perch, Bass and plenty turtles too. It is never crowed and a nice change when I do not feel like driving the shore. PERMIT required for UNITED WATER customers ONLY.Sandy Hook next saturday fir RAMMIE, see 'ya later, Robbie

Hmm, looks like I'll be getting a permit then. What's the cost?

Nothing though on below the dam? Wonder if any Hybrids have gone over...

How have you done with the Hybrids there? That'd be my sole reason for investing twenty five beans lol.
