Maryland Ups Bounty on Snakeheads
They’ve been called the fish from hell, and Maryland has done a lot to try to get rid of the growing snakehead problem in their state. Last year, they came out with reward system, and they’re expanding it a little bit this year.
Anyone who successfully removes a snakehead from Maryland can enter their catch on the Maryland DNR’s Angler’s Log website. On November 30, officials will randomly select winners who will win either a $200 Bass Pro Shops gift certificate, a Maryland State Passport, which provides unlimited day-use entry for up to ten passengers in a vehicle, unlimited boat launching at State Park facilities and a 10 percent discount on State-operated concessions and boat rentals, or a Potomac River Fisheries Commission fishing license.
