Thumbs up First Bass of the season
Took a break from crappie and fished the canal all afternoon for bass/pickerel. Hooked up with this 18" chunk halfway thru, using a live shiner on a homemade double 1/8 oz jighead carolina rig. Didnt put up much of a fight, i thought it was a big old catfish by the way it shook. Still a great catch nonetheless .

Three trips to the Passaic so far:three nice smallies,one nice pike(30 inches),one pike lost. Fish are ice cold to the touch so fishing will get much better.
