Rvr 12/9
My buddy and I hit up the big bowl on friday for some 'save-some-money' fishing and tried to catch some lakers. Caught a very few in our spots and we noticed they're starting to come off the bottom more and not stay glued to the bottom.
Hit up some shoreline and I caught myself my first brown trout. Thought I was just pulling out of some weeds when I felt the weight. He did a bunch of jumps on the surface and was probably the best fighting fish of the day. Put up a nice fight for his small size. Caught one more laker a little bigger after him and that was it for the day. Not bad, but not stripers. All fish were caught jigging with a Binski! |

Rvr 12/10,.......wading the shore: caught a short brown, 16" brown, & another bigger one that jumped & threw the hook.
No lakers, yet,....but expecting them. Now's when I catch them from shore,...when first hooked, the smaller ones really jump! |

Re: Rvr 12/9
Get a couple of knucklehead poppers at Dows and wait for the noise to start. That was the advice from Bunker Dunker and thats all you need! Thanks BD!

Re: Rvr 12/9
It was a nice day until the normal midday winds kicked up coming across the water.
