Default Bassin for trout

I normally target Bass, but a buddy wants to go after river trout next weekend. What kind of lures are best for a spinning or baitcasting rig?

Joiseystud, these are the lures that I have always used to land my trout.

Mepps Black Fury

Worden's Rooster Tail

Any similar lures should work. Just to remember to use lures a couple sizes smaller than what you would use for bass.

Thanks guys. Inline spinners... how do you fish them? Straight steady retrieve?

What are your favorite sizes and colors of each for fall stocked trout in NJ?

Those Phoebe's are tough to find. Cabelas, FishUSA, tacklewarehouse... none carry it. Here is what I ended up getting.

Panther Martin Spinner

Mepps Black Fury

Rapala Xrap Shad

Anyone try to catch trout with a Strike King KVD 1.5? Maybe too much mayhem for a trout?
