All fish caught on a 2 inch siver husky jerk

there a lot of leaves in the water so almost every other cast hooked into one

NJ DAVE I read your posts on the LG fishing site, I just love that place, may go up for an extended weekend soon. By the way West Brook IS loaded with trout, go out some time about 11pm with a flashlight, you'll see. This past summer I took a beautiful 18" brown right across from Paul Bunion lol. Not sure if that silt management plan they have up that way is all that great, hoping they dredge where the brook emptys into the lake, used to be a deep hole there, nice trout night time also

Lightbulb Re: Ramapo this morning

Hey gyp,
Yea LG is great. West brook is a nice small stream. For me its always hit or miss. When I do hit, it is usually after some time. The water there is so clear and the fish spook so easily from just feeling the vibrations of your feet. I can't see it holding trout but i know it does. my buddie fishes above rt 9 and has luck there.
Trop storm Irene put a hurting on that stream as it was well washed out and full of silt. This fall the fishing there suxed for me but a few near by ponds kept me busy.
Next time you go up give Northwest bay brook up past Bolton a try. Nice water. Under 9 is a deep pool that holds fish. I caught a small wild 4 inch salmon or steelhead in there one year that fought like a 5 pounder!
Warren county only does a spring stocking so whatever ypu get now has held over and adapted quite well.
If you wish some LG spots to try send me a pm. I have been going up there for over 30 years.
I prefer the spring ice out lake trout and salmon fishery the best.
As for that silt pond I don't like it. the rusty water run off can't be a good thing.
