Lightbulb ID this fish

Caught this fish Sunday 9/4 just outside the sandy Hook Channel between the 6 and 8 bouy. Fish is about 12 inches long, has no teeth and two very small eyes on the top of it's head.

I have actually heard they are good eating but definitely would not try myself...
