Hit Rising Sun for the first time ever this morning. Got on the water at 5:00 am and did the usual topwater routine. Somewhat slow. We worked around the entire lake and reworked some areas before getting off the lake at 8:00 am. We had 8 bass and 1 sunfish. All the fish were on topwater except for one bass my dad caught trolling a rapala on the way back to the boat ramp. Water was HOT which probaly hurt the fishing a lot. For the conditions and considering it was our first time there, we did alright. Overall, it was a good morning.
It's nice to know the other 2 ACW(Assunpink Creek Watershed) lakes are nearby and way less crowded. Now, when Assunpink looks like the scene outside Manasquan Inlet during striper season

, I can always go to Stone Tavern or Rising Sun.
