Default scarlet oak 7-16

hit scarlet oak at around 6:45am put on a 1/2 oz halloween colored rat, 2nd cast musta threw it right in his mouth cuz as soon as it hit the water he hit it and took off. put up a decent fight...because of the angle of the pic it doesnt show it too well but its a lil bigger than the one from spring lake a few weeks ago...caught nothing else after within my 2 1/2 hours there

You're becoming a real bassmaster John. And yeah Dboyd, that place gets HAMMERED. I've had some decent days on there though with some nice fish. There's some biguns hangin in those weedbeds in the middle. Try T-rigging a worm and sailing it out there.

Have seen great bass action at MacMillian (spelling too?) on two tone silver bottom black top worms... plastics have always done a good job for me up there. It can be a tough walk at times, but it's worth it and are plenty of spots to give the knees a break if that really worries you. Lots of families and dogs make it up there so I would say it's not too too rough, if you know what I mean.

gonna head up the hill tomorrow AM, leaving my place at 5 so i can get up there at sunrise (when it opens) bringing my rats and some 4" green w/black flake and 5" watermelon/cream senkos and gonna try and land something (gonna bring some nightcrawlers and sweet corn thats been soaking in vanilla extract for a week if i wanna take a break from lures and let stuff soak)...taking a few excedrine before i leave so the knees dont feel it so much while going up (35 YO and bad knees, go figure) will post when i get home
