Default Clark's Pond/Rainbow Lake 6/25

Hit Clark's Pond first thing this morning. It was weedier but not unfishable by any means. The fishing died there completely, even in comparison to our usual summer days there. We had 15 pickeral, bass, perch and sunfish there fishing from 4:45 am to 10:15 am. That's 5 1/2 hours. Big fish was a 3lb. bass. We missed some nice blowups on topwaters but otherwise it was a pretty dull morning there. We pulled up stakes and headed to Rainbow Lake.

Hit Rainbow around 11:15 am. Left the lake 4 hours later at 3:15 pm. We threw Mr. Twisters around the brush hoping to nail a mixed bag. It paid off. We had 40 crappies, bass, sunfish, pickeral and perch. Mostly crappies and sunfish with bass and pickeral mixed in. Not a bad way to save the day.

So in 9 1/2 hours, on 2 lakes, we had 55 fish. Not a bad day at all. Probaly won't be freshwater fishing next week till the weekend, gonna be down in Ocean City all week fishing and bikini watching .
