Sorry for the late report. The Internet was down since Thursday night to this morning and haven't had time to post a report until now
Hit Rainbow Lake yesterday morning. After last year's poor fishing there, it gave up it's pot of gold

. Started out at 5:00 am throwing topwaters in very low visibility fog which quickly burned off. We caught bass and pickeral for the first 2 hours to 3.5 lbs throwing Heddon Torpedoes. After that, we switched to jigging for crappies and bluegills. Size wise, this was some of best panfishing Ive seen and the numbers weren't too shabby either

. The ultralights were doubled over with crappies and bluegills. The crappies weren't huge but they were all nice size. The bluegills ranged from large to true 1lb. bulls that were pulling drag. We had good fishing until we left at noon. In the mix while jigging were bass and pickeral which were decent size, a yellow perch and even a small channel cat! It was cloudy until the end when the sun began to break through. In the end, we combined for 68 fish. A very good day of fishing on a lake we had almost given up on.
