Default Hopatcong Report 6/4

I fished Hopatcong this morning from 9 -12:30. I got 12 largemouth, 1 smallmouth, 2 chain pickerel, 1 yellow perch, 3 rock bass, 2 bluegills, 4 redbreasted sunfish, 1 pumpkinseed, and 1 rainbow trout. Nothing giant but they were aggressive. I also saw a nice walleye and a 5 ft. snake on the water. Every fish came on crankbaits and 4 lb line. I was hoping for a redfin pickerel but the hunt continues.

Wow! A fish every 7.2 minutes on a heavily fished lake. Either your one of the best of all time,or your checking to see if anybody is reading the freshwater section.

"were aggressive" sounds like an under statement ! How was the boat traffic ?

I wasn't on the main lake so I'm not sure about boat traffic. Where I fish is only about a foot of water.

It didn't seem like every 7 mins. And I suck at fishing. Oh and thanks to Carl at All Seasons Guide Service for showing me a great spot

I've been in the back of Byram Cove when the fishing was on and easily landed a fish every 5 mins. It happens. Not often, but it happens.
