Talking Lake Hopatcong 5/13

Hit the big lake with Bob and John. Fished from 9pm to 2am. Lures used, assorted stickbaits, black/silver gold/orange were the choice colors. Bob wound up passing out in the boat while John and I put together a nice Walleye catch. I got 1 Striper around 18 inches and boated 5 keeper eyes. John got 4 eyes and Bob just slept through all the action. First night back on the water for me, Its about time! TIGHT LINES!

Nice job man. With no room to put my own, I'm still at the mercy of renting boats from Laurie and have yet to get out there after dark. I hear that's where it's at and you got the pics to prove it.

Thumbs up Re: Lake Hopatcong 5/13

How can Bob pass out with a hot walleye bite going on !!
Great time of year to catch eyes at nite, not much boat traffic.

Leave Bob alone, good report.
And how was the camping and fishing on the Delaware?

Hit the coves with stickbaits and hold on tight. Make sure your drag is set for that 10 pound striper.

Wilson the camping trip wasnt much of a fishing trip. My anchor wouldnt hold on my honey hole, water was high current was strong. An hour into fishing the plastic piece that holds my throttle arm in place snapped and the boat was dry docked for the rest of the trip. We wound up fishing Columbia dam, managed to pull out some stocked trout and a couple shad. Tried to make the best of the trip. Always sucks when the boat brakes down on the 'BIG D'! I had to row my boat back to the ramp while my friends pulled me in with a 100 ft anchor line. Almost missed the ramp, would have ended up in Trenton eventually!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH FLOAT TRIP!!!
