Met up with Shucker on the Musky around 6:15 on Sat. He's never fished this stretch before, so I took him downstream to catch some rainbows. Managed a few on crawlers and salmon eggs. Walked upstream, off the beaten path, and found the motherload. Only other tracks were deer tracks. We both hooked up with a nice fish, only to have to come unbuttoned. After that they smartened up, and that was it. Brought 4 home for the grill. Could of easily kept both our limits. The fish were really stacked up along the shore in slow, deep water. Ended the day by taking a nasty spill. Thought what looked like solid ground, wasn't, when I went to nonchalantly step off a log. At least I didn't end up in the river
