Deal Lake 4/4 Report
Fished from 3:30pm to 6:30pm with my wife and daughter in my boat. Caught at least a dozen crappie and at least a dozen white perch. My wife caught one of the largest crappie I have ever seen caught. Didnt have the scale with me but my guess would have to be at least 2.5 to 3lbs.
We moved around and caught them up in Wanamassa, as well as in Allenhurst. All fish caught on Rosie Red Fatheads. |

3lb crappie WOW I caught a giant crappie there as well. There are some big ones in that lake. Nice Job.

Re: Deal Lake 4/4 Report
Not only was it long, it was like 1.5 inches thick. Just a really huge crappie. Caught it up off of North Wanamassa drive on the Interlaken side. I will post a picture of it later, but the picture doesnt do it justice.

Re: Deal Lake 4/4 Report
Does anyone know if Deal Lake has any wheelchair accessible spots. Is there good bank fishing or is a boat my best bet? Looking to catch something.

Re: Deal Lake 4/4 Report
The part of the lake between Asbury and Loch Arbour that is east of Main street is very accessible. The rest of the lake is pretty tough without a boat as it borders mostly all private residents. There are a few spots you could get in, but with a wheel chair it would probably be pretty tough. I have been catching all my fish along the fallen trees and private boat docks west of main street.

Re: Deal Lake 4/4 Report
There is a concrete launching ramp on the Asbury Side across from the 7-11. It is kinda steep but is solid concrete and was just redone. Kayaks would work. The lake is pretty big with a ton of fallen trees and docks. Water is always dirty brown, and I would not eat any of the fish out of there.

Re: Deal Lake 4/4 Report
I see in the NJ Fish & Wildlife Digest that Deal Lake will be getting a Warmwater Stocking of
416 (8-12") Muskellunge and also 1600 (6") Northern Pike. That sounds like some great future fishing in there.
