Pocono Summit Report

Rented an a house in Pocono Summit, PA on a private lake.. of course had to bring my rod along!

The house had kayaks and a paddle boat so I took full advantage of them for my fishing time. The lake was pretty shallow maybe 3-5’ deep from what I could tell.. after some trial and error any weightless jerkshad presentation absolutely smoked the large mouth and pickerel. It was pretty incredibly fishing, probably landing over 40 bass and I’d estimate 75+ pickerel over 3 days, fishing a few hours each morning.

I normally dont seek out largemouth bass/pickerel fishing but a good unpressured lake like that out in the poconos is an excellent time. I did some of it on friend's private lake in NJ this spring and had a blast.

Private lakes can have incredible fishing...

Lack of pressure, and no white buckets=lots of fish in the water

Fun simple fishing without over thinking and dissecting! The good life with great action!!!
