![]() Time to change the lines. Most of my fishing is bucktailing fluke on charters from belmar and point pleasant a few miles off the beach. Usually go with 20# braid. What is your favorite premium brand?

![]() My personal fav is Fins 40g. It's pricer than the others but its thin, strong and fishes really well. There are times I can be an oz lighter than others on my boat simply because of the line diameter. It's made in Kentucky so if you want to support a US company....give it a long look. I have been using for years and have nothing to say but great things about it. Nearly all of my rods are spooled with it.

![]() I’ve been fishing for fluke out of Belmar and Point Pleasant for years, and I’ve stuck with PowerPro most of the time—it’s reliable, casts smooth, and holds up well. I’ve also tried Sufix 832, and that’s solid too, especially if you like something with a bit more abrasion resistance. Lately, I’ve been hearing good things about Daiwa J-Braid, so I might give that a shot next time. Honestly, 20# is perfect for bucktailing fluke; it gives you the strength without being overkill.
