GAMBLER --Striper Report
Gambler was out striper fishing today and Thursday. The ocean was nice but the water is still cloudy from that big Nor'easter this past weekend.
The striped bass fishing was very slow. We caught very few on both trips. Although I did see some decent schools today, they did not want our lures. We will try until the end of the month. I won't be surprised if we get another shot at the stripers, but I it's hard to guess. I was in touch with a few captains all the way up to the hook and they did not see much either. Hoping for a few more good striped bass trips. Our last ones of the season will be the 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st. After that, Gambler will be on to taug trips.
