FRTC Sea Bass Tournament 10/1-10/12
Forked River Tuna Club Sea Bass Tournament Rules
1. Boat Tournament: Maximum 6 people per boat at $125 per for one day or $200 for two days. 2. The tournament will begin on Sunday, 10/1 and end on Thursday 10/12. Each entrant may fish one or two days of their choice. Each entrant must text Paul at 973-943-8201 by 9 PM the night before the day or days they intend to fish. 3. Entrants signups are Friday, September 29th at the Forked River Tuna Club. Doors open at 7 PM. For those who cannot make the meeting, contact Paul at 973-943-8201. All entrants must be signed up prior to the start of the tournament. 4. There are no boundaries but each entrant must sail from and return to Manasquan, Barnegat or Beach Haven Inlets on their designated fishing day(s). 5. Overall heaviest single sea bass wins. In the event of a tie, the entrant who weighs in first will be the winner. 6. The tournament begins at 6 AM each day. Weigh-ins end at 5 PM sharp. No exceptions. Weigh-ins must be made at, Creekside Outfitters, Fisherman’s Headquarters or Lacey Marine. Fish must be weighed in on the day they are caught so you must make sure the weigh-in station will be open when you intend to weigh-in your fish. On Sundays, Lacey Marine closes at 3 PM but both the other shops should be open until at least 5 PM 7. The awards presentation will be on Friday evening, 10/13 at the FRTC located at 18 Bay Av, Forked River, NJ. 8. Prize Format - FRTC will pay out 50% of the money taken in for entrance fees. If there are less than 10 boats, there will only be a first place prize which will be 100% of the money paid out, 10 – 19 boats there will be a first and second place prize with a 60/40 split, 20 boats or more there will be first, second and third place prizes with a 50/30/20 split. All Calcuttas are a 100 % payout of the money taken in. See further details below. 9. All decisions by the FRTC Tournament Committee are final. Calcutta’s per boat – 100% payout! $50 - Single Heaviest Sea Bass $100 - Single Heaviest Sea Bass $50 - 5 Sea Bass Stringer $100 - 5 Sea Bass Stringer Important – 5 sea bass stringers must be caught in one day. Those who elect to fish two days may not combine their fish. Only their largest stringer caught on one day will count. |
