Redeemer Sportfishing - Saturday July 8th - Offshore Jumbo Yellowfin Report
On Saturday Redeemer Sportfishing hosted Dan Fornel and his dad to an offshore tuna trip. Due to the large crowds at the Triples we decided to fish a new area. Finally arrived on the 40 line to tons of mammal life just missed the first light tuna bite. Passed a floating Hobbie Cat halfway out. Abandoned.
Trolled for an hour had our first yellowfin, trolled a couple more hours and got slammed by 150 pound extra large yellowfin. Fought on a harness and 30W for over an hour. Finally boated. Inshore bluefin jig bite is finally on, hopefully the long runs are over.
