Put new 12 lb test Cajun fluorocarbon line on my Mitchell #300 spinning reel. Put 3 hooks on 4 lb test line on my Mitchell Avocet spinning reel. Replaced the 1/32 oz jig with a #14 gold treble hook on the 2 lb test line on my Shimano R2000 spinning reel. Went carping in 76 degrees Robert G Martin Lake this evening on a warm, sunny day with a strong northwest wind. Threw out a can of corn for chum, then caught and released 4 bluegills, 2 brown bullheads and a 10 lb snapping turtle 🐢 on my last cast of the day with my homemade corn meal bait on a #8 red treble hook. Killed two mosquitoes. Landed 25 turtles this year.
