Youth Fishing Program 8/15 - 8/17

Hello Everyone,

I am passing along an announcement about our annual youth fishing program, "Reel Into Fishing", that we at Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) are hosting in partnership with the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) on August 15-17.

Please see below and the attached flyer for additional information about this free program for youth in grades 5-10 that is being funded by the IGFA.

Day 1 - Tuesday, August 15, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Classroom and hands-on education on fisheries management, environmental science, fish biology and tagging, and fishing techniques. Meets at the RCE of Ocean County (1623 Whitesville Road, Toms River, NJ 08755).

Day 2 - Wednesday, August 16, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Field trip to the Rutgers University Marine Field Station and ReClam the Bay shellfish upweller in Tuckerton, NJ. Bus transportation is available from the RCE of Ocean County.

Day 3 - Thursday, August 17, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Fishing trip aboard the "Bingo" fishing boat from Leonardo, NJ (https://bingosportfishing.com/). Bus transportation is available from the RCE of Ocean County.
