seabass jigging/striper combo trip
My daughter and myself joined seabass jigging/striper combo trip on a non sponsor Yankee out of Point Pleasant, NJ today.
What a trip.
After limiting out seabass on jigs using light 6'8" Black Hole Charter Special slow pitch jigging rods by 10:30 am we went striper fishing.
As soon as we started fishing, a conversation police boat approached us.They checked every seabass and didn't find any violation as we measured seabass and we made sure we got the limit.
We saw school of bunkers and stripers on the screen and stayed there
We caught some live bunker and used them as bait.
We had hot bites, but we couldn't keep any as all were over 33 inches anf biggest striper was 46 lb.
Weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed fine fishing.
