Default NJ Shark fishing charter

Anyone know of any good shark fishing charters or know of any captains willing to do a shark fishing charter ? Looking to go for my birthday at the end of June.

All comments/suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks

Not many boats regularly targeting sharks any longer since you are not allowed to retain any Mako sharks and they are what most people want.

Having said that, check our sponsor charter boats here https://www.njfishing.com/NJ_Fishing_Charter.php click on their links and look for boats that specialize in offshore fishing for Tuna. If you book the whole boat for a charter, I’m sure any one of them would be happy to take you out shark fishing but I doubt you’ll find any that will fish open boat for them.

It's hard to get a shark charter these days since you can't keep makos. But keep looking, GOOD LUCK. I hope that you find a trip.

If your goal is to catch a shark, go to IBSP with some bigger bait and heavy tackle and I can almost guarantee you’ll catch a shark July-Sept

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I will definitely keep looking for a charter. (I've done one in AC its just pretty far.)

@AndrewT do you care to elaborate a little on IBSP ? Ive never salt water fished from shore, just off of a boat.

Thanks everyone !

Give us a call. 732-861-3394. We shark fish, and even though majority is catch and release we still are able to retain threshers if we hook one.
