Very nice fish indeed!... Up until we started seeing these pics of winter offshore wreck fishing years ago, I always thought of Weaks as a fish that migrated north and south, not so much inshore/offshore..
I wonder, do these Weaks stay on those offshore wrecks all winter here in the northeast, or will they eventually head south?... I always figured a wreck 80-90 miles offshore would be a winter home to cod and pollack moreso than weakfish or bluefish.. I wonder where those big Weaks spend their summers? Not inshore in this area thats for sure.

Curious as to why you would think that?

Awesome catch of weakfish. The largest I have seen, but aren't we only allowed to keep only 1 ( one) per day ?? Or is that just inshore. I don't know, but I have been hunting them for 73 years ........ Papa

Only 1 per person on the boat was retained. The rest were released.
