Default Triple header

Went fishing on the Manasquan Inlet north jetty this evening in the rain during a small craft advisory and incoming tide. Got wet. Only saw one large commercial fishing boat go up the inlet at night. 7 surfers were there before dusk. 7 other fishermen were nearby. I started getting hits late in the day. When I yanked on a hit near the rocks, a small striped bass flew out of the ocean. On my 108th cast of the day at 5:40 PM, I hooked a triple header. After I walked the fish to the beach, a 26” striped bass was on the top teaser made by my brother John, the second teaser made by my friend Jack was missing and my Bomber Long A-16 was missing. 15 lb test leader is too light for striped bass. I tagged the striped bass, then threw it into the inlet.

Wow those fish have to be thick. What an incredible fishery we have here in good old dirty jersey. Not sure there’s any other place that has the variety of fish and the opportunities we have right in our backyard.
