Matched the hatch
Caught and released two peanut bunker on a Monmouth County, NJ, jetty, then caught, tagged and released an undersized striped bass on a yellow Bomber A-15. 7 boats were fishing nearby. Lots of surf fishermen caught nothing. After they left, I didn’t get a hit in the surf. Then I didn’t get a hit in the inlet. Windowpane flounder and minnows were under the lights. One hit with 120 casts in 171 minutes is very slow fishing.
