![]() I go birdwatching at Spruce Run a couple of times a week. Lately, I've been walking that wide, dry shoreline. I found: an I Phone 12 half buried in the mud at the boat rental. Turned it in to the Parks Office. A flat plastic tackle box filled with rubber (compromised from being underwater) and metal lures. I left it by the boat launch for anglers to pick through. An anchor, too heavy for me to
carry, I perched it on top of a prominent rock. A fellow birder I know, took cool photos of a Peregrine Falcon snatching a sandpiper off of a mudflat and an Osprey struggling to get airborne with a Channel Cat as big as he! RVR and Spruce Run Reservoirs were built in response to "the drought of record" in the 1960's. Their main purpose is water supply. The fish inhabiting them are just a bonus. |

![]() Great pictures Mark !
If anyone decides to walk the shoreline be very careful , I sunk to almost my waist in the mud . This was back where Mulhocky Creek flows in . |

![]() No, but I'll look next time. Found, and destroyed, an illegal set trotline tied off to a stump. No bait, or fish, on the multiple hooks.
