Default Ambrose Channel Fluking!

Decided to head north instead of south yesterday to fish a different area and hopefully put a caught together. We got to Ambrose Channel just before slack tide. Fished the edges till the tide slowed down and caught some short fluke and baby seas bass. Finally the current slowed enough to fish the deeper parts of the channel. Nothing but thee endanger dogfish! Moved closer to the bridge and finally started to catch short fluke in fairly decent numbers but no keepers. At least it was action with the target fish! All in all a interesting day but not what I was hoping for. Tight Lines!

I hear that! It seemed at one point they were caught mostly on cut bait etc and left the gulp alone. Now they are even going for gulp. And they are a pain to get the hook out. They can really screw things up especially when braid wraps around them! This is war! LoL!

Ambrose channel hasn't been the same the past couple of years. Last year we caught nothing but dogfish and sand sharks.
