How do I properly and safely dispose of old Fishing knives

I suppose if you are worried about them being too dangerous to throw them away as is , you could grind the blades dull, grind the point off as well on a bench grinder, tape whats left of the blades up with duct tape, and then throw them away,,, Either that or grind the point off, dull the blade, and toss them in the salt water next time out, and let the barnacles have their way with them...

Just out of curiosity…..why are you throwing knives away?

I have knives from the 70’s that are still going. Broken and repurposed/reshaped/resharpened.
