Default Centaur Chiron

Special Thanks to Eric at The Reel Seat. He took good care of me getting into a jigging setup. I ended up with a Centaur Chiron 5'2 and a Shimano Ocea 4000 with 65# Braid. According to Centaur this little rod has 30 KG of max power in a 60 degree bend. The parabolic bend in these rods is mind blowing. Very light. Super excited to bend it for real! I went to a couple of spots and stuck with the Reel Seat. They have the old school customer service that you can't get at most places. I looked at the Shimanos and some other rods. The Centaur just felt best in my hands.

Thanks for supporting our sponsors! The staff at The Reel Seat know what they're talking about and it makes a big difference when you can actually get the stuff you're considering in your hands.

Eric (& the entire Reel Seat staff) is my go to guy when I’m looking for a new rod/reel. He knows exactly what I like in a rod and matches it to both my style and how I like to fish as well as my budget.

Agreed. They also always have someone available to spool new reels up..everyday. this rod is lightweight but according to Eric it will whoop a fish quicker then my trolling rods. I can't wait to find out!
