![]() No current or drift to start the day once again.....I fished the snags and pieces while the guys worked their tails off bouncing the jigs & sinkers. Had the Famous change of tide bite with a nice pic going.
Many were well rewarded as Kelly Reilly who was already leading the Big Pool with a 7.2 lb Fluke landed his Monster of a lifetime coming in at 32 inches, 13 pounds 8 ounces!! Kelly has had 4 personal best's this season so far with Sea Bass, Fluke and Striped Bass....Let's see what Porgy season produces. Congratulations Kelly!!! Other top honors go to Robin Harbin with 3 beauties, Big Dave Bachovin, Bill Venezia, Dennis, Brothers Lou & Frank all with their three keepers by days end. Several guys with 2 nice fish and a bunch of Sea Bass in the Mix. When the current came through it ran pretty hard, conditions were tough with a slider but we still slugged away the rest of the day. ICE!! I'm begging you for the last time to PLEASE BRING ICE! I was going to post a pic of some fish in the swill water but I don't want to ruin a great report. See you in the AM!!! Capt. Ron |

![]() Capt. Ron,
Fish of a lifetime! Congratulations to you and the skillful angler. Can't even imagine what a mat like that feels like and the head shakes coming up. Like to know what Kelly's heart rate was reeling the big girl up! That is why we fluke fish, hoping one day to get the right bite! Awesome report and way to get it done! ICE!! I'm begging you for the last time to PLEASE BRING ICE! I was going to post a pic of some fish in the swill water but I don't want to ruin a great report. Too many party boat anglers are just plain cheap. They shell out money for their fare and maybe the pool. When it comes to tipping the mates, their wallets are in their other pants back in the car. Spending six or seven dollars on a few bags of ice is out of the question. You don’t have to spend a fortune for enough ice to chill 3 fluke! It brings me to the idea that I posted a month or so ago. The Florida fishermen and party boats are accustomed to hot weather and they take appropriate measures. Many of the boats do not allow coolers onboard and provide an icy slush tank for their customers’ catch. Each keeper is assigned a numbered stringer to which the fish are attached and immersed in the slush. On a pb in NJ, the boats could use a couple of extra large coolers to serve as ice baths for any keepers until their ultimate arrival on the fillet board. It can be done, but change comes slowly to old salts. |

![]() Congrats Capt Ron and angler Kelly! The Irish angler gets it done with the Italian Capt. Always a great mix! Beautiful fish for sure and who knows it may hold up for the monthly pool
![]() Nice job by all including Joe! Not the first doormat on your boat by far and sure it wont be the last.
