Default Shark River Flounder

Gerry an update on my condition, done with the chemo, had a scan and came back CANCER FREE, don't have to see chemo doctor for 6 months, no scan for 6 months, no surgeon for 6 months, hopefully it stays away !!!!!!!!!!!! Now for Shark River, it's supposed to be around 60 on Wednesday, was thinking of going down and fish near the boat launch, do you think the flounder are out and about or too early. Figured I'd try and get out of the house, take the lawn chair and give it a try. It's a long drive for me, was wondering if I should wait a while longer for the water to warm a little more

Congrats on being cancer free. From what I'm hearing stripers are on blood worms at the moment. Good luck

Congrats !!

I was @ Shark River last week.
All I caught was 2 small striped bass - It was very cold but I still had a fun day.

I tried a Raritan Bay spot that was good april 1st last year but yesterday it was dead.

A warm day? That could be the first day. Spring flounder has been dead recent years. More fun with the stripes.

Great to hear you are well Gypsy. Caught a Flounder on March 7th last year by the ramp. It was cold and raining that day.

couldn't make it down, didn't feel like I could make the trip, still kind of weak. I have an autistic son who goes everywhere with me, don't want to put him in danger by driving 1 hr and 40 min. My friend said he will come with me one day soon so he can drive. I did call the bait shop in Shark River and he said yesterday they were catching flounder off the dock
