Hot ice action to start 2021

A few places have good ice and we've been taking advantage of it! Even less places have thick enough ice to survive the rain we're going to get, but we'll be out there checking again as soon as it's over.

Fished the hard stuff most of the weekend and twice after work this week. Flags were flying on sunday with perch and pickerel, but the biggest perch hit like a train on the ultralite jigging rod! hell of a fight too... thought it was a nice bass or pickerel! jigging and tip up shared most of the action split. My buddy had a real hefty bass on a tip up shiner too. as the sun went down we got small waves of crappie action on the jig which is always a blast, and nick was able to get in on some of that action. 2 giant crappie came through the hole with all the nice ones too.

yesterday I got my first bass of the season through the ice and it was an absolute piggy at over 21" long.... and i used one of Squatches shiners to catch it

On top of all that, the highlight was probably squatch accidentally exposing himself to a lesbian couple HAHAHAHA

Then technically that bass is squatch's, points to him.
But then his exposing accident subtracts the same # of points... so no net gain

I jk tho, that's quality fish. great work on the ice, man!

Yeah, the temps line up really nicely for the 26th, if I get that day off. Scheduling is not going well for me.
