Default Bunkerspoon

We took a ride yesterday to get in on the hot striper bite and had some success. Within 5 minutes of having lines in the water we had a triple header of 25 inch fish, back they go. Next hit was the fish of the day, line screams off the spoon rod and wasn't turning. We get all the lines in and start backing down after about an hour and half fight we brought a nice male thresher to the boatside. The fish must have slapped our spoon with his tail and got hooked. That was the day for us only had a couple more rat stripers we called it a day.

Wow Tony. Tough enough fighting a tail hooked fish to begin with but a Thresher on a spool rod That must have been some battle!
