![]() On Sunday after cancelling 3 straight trips in a row we were finally able to fill out a crew. Arrived at 0600 to the overnight fleet. Fleet grew to over a 100 boats. Knew it would be a tough day. Managed to go 1 for 3 on Yellowfins and some skips all on jigs. Also jigged some sand eeels. Bait was thick. With building seas we decided to troll. Hooked up on a crazy eight flat line to a nice wahoo weighing approximately 70 pounds. Headed home by 1pm. Wish we could of fished Saturday during the mega bite but oh well at least the crew got some good eats and I got revenge on the 12 bars lost this season .
Open boat tuna next Friday-Sunday, good amount of bait remains in the area so fish will be around for a few more weeks.

![]() Good to see a nice wahoo cought....I remember last year watching two of them do laps around the flyer like Nascar. It's that time of year where anything is possible to catch and not be surprised. I can't wait to get back out and fish while there's a weather window and sick bite going on. Few more weeks I'll be dreaming of tuna fishing while it snowing and cold. One of the better years for yft take advantage of it!!!!!!!

![]() Beautiful wahoo! Better 12 bars lost and chaos on deck versus no bars lost and no screaming reels. You've had one helluva season Captain, love the videos keep them coming.

![]() Very true. Wahoo did taste amazing. With the insane tuna bit still on we are running open boat Tuesday and Wednesday this week for yellowfin and bluefin for those interested please see the open boat thread. Best bite of the year. Trust me on this one. Water temps are still in the lower 70’s!
