How effective is the Berkeley gulp eels on Stripers?

We had very good luck with them in the East River .
Haven’t fished them anywhere else yet

back in the day the Alou Eel lure was a hot number, Milt Rosko did many articles on his use of this and was successful, mainly jetty's and surf, no reason today's artificial shouldn't work, I tell everybody the same thing, these are the same fish we fished for 50 years ago

Also consider the Gulp Nemesis when looking for an eel profile. Dave at Absecon Bay fishes them on a jig head for fall striped bass in our South Jersey salt marshes.
