![]() Before the Nor'easter, overall, last week had been decent fluke fishing. The Gambler had been catching a good percentage of keepers most trips, up to 7lbs. Some of our sharpies have been catching limits. Green and orange Gulp has been working well but regular ol' spearing and squid strips are catching fish too. Jeff Toth was out with us on Weds and fought a 7.2lber to the net.
On some of the trips, when the drifting conditions were either too fast or too slow, the action was not as good. But on the days when the drift has been between 0.5 to 1 knot, it's been good fluke fishing. Also, still catching a few nice sea bass and there are some mackerel on our fluke drifts. Our our night trips, customers have been able to drop deep to catch ling or fish shallower for mackerel and bluefish. Lots of excitement. The season is going quick. Don't miss out. See you aboard Capt Bob
